Sana is an independent Iranian photographer and visual artist currently based in a small city in the north of Khuzestan province called Shoush. She studied nanophysics at Chamran University. After graduation, she started photography as a self-taught photographer, and gently, photography became a model of thinking and lifestyle for her. By focusing on social and political issues with a conceptual approach, her works draw on her personal narratives and experiences. Over the past year, she has presented her projects to interact more with people on the streets. She has focused on her personal projects through the photobook medium in the last three years and published three of them in the form of self-published photobooks and zines. Currently, Sana is a member of the organization WomenPhotograph and working on a long-term project linked to the social-political landscape.
