“Joustujoo” is an attempt to uncover discarded/lost pieces of history; an attempt to recover the theses defended by students at the University of Tehran during 1978-1979. Recovering documents as discourses that are sometimes in conflict and sometimes forgotten or lost in the hidden layers of history.

“The installation title was inspired by Amir Naderi’s film of the same name.”

Stigma

When Neda a-38-year old housewife sent me intimate photos of her son I was facinated by the demotratic aspect of photography. Part of the photos of this project has been taken by the mothers of three children with autism- housewives from low-income communities whose photos are reflective of the low quality of their mobile phones.
